Whether you bring a friend or make new ones while you’re here, Schoolhaus puts the FUN in cooking fundamentals. So, tie your hair back, slip into some comfy clothes and closed-toe shoes and prepare to jump in!
We provide all the ingredients and supplies you’ll need, including an apron, which you are welcome and encouraged to stain all to hell. Best of all, the homework is delicious!
Haus Guest Virtual Cookalong Club with Aimee: Cheap Thrills
Good food doesn’t need a fancy grocery bill!
Join us for Cheap Thrills, a two-class Haus Guest cookalong series that turns humble ingredients into generous, flavour-packed dinners.
We’ll stuff and roast chicken legs, stretch ground pork into smoky meatballs, make fresh skillet bread, and give everyday vegetables their moment in the spotlight. And yes – there’s dessert both nights!
Week 1: Sunday Dinner on a Dime – Mushroom & Sage Stuffed Chicken Legs with Pan Gravy, Roasted Garlic, White Bean & Potato Mash, Roasted Cabbage Wedges with Mustard Butter, Jammy Oat Crumble Bars
Week 2: Make the Pantry Pay Rent – Smoky Pork & Lentil Meatballs in Tomato Sauce, Toasted Tomato Rice Pilaf, Garlic & Herb Yeasted Skillet Flatbread, Cabbage, Carrot & Apple Slaw with Tangy Cider Dressing, Warm Cinnamon Apples with Brown Sugar Custard.
Class dates and times: Sunday, November 8th and Sunday, November 15th, 4:00 – 5:30 pm
So how does this work?
Within one week of each class, our team will send you the recipes, shopping list, and Zoom link so you’ll have everything you need to whip up a chef-worthy meal in your own kitchen. Cook along with us in real time, ask questions, and learn some cool new things!
Price is per household connection. Taxes added at checkout.
Bookings are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another class. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your booking to another person. No exceptions, please.
Class Information
With the occasional exception, classes are approximately three hours and $75 + GST. Though refunds are not available, feel free to have some lucky soul 19+ to attend in your place.
